Cookie Preferences
Last updated: 23 July 2026
Viro uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. Strictly necessary ones keep you signed in and cannot be turned off. Everything else is your choice, and you can change it here at any time.
Your choices
Strictly necessary
Always on — the service cannot run without these.
Keep you signed in, protect against forgery and abuse, and remember which upload you are working on. Set by Firebase Authentication and by Viro itself.
Analytics
Help us see which features get used and where things break.
Google Analytics via Firebase records page views and aggregate usage. Switching this off stops analytics from loading on your next page view.
Preferences
Remember your choices between visits.
Stores things like your caption style and interface settings in your browser so you do not have to set them again.
How long cookies last
Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Sign-in and preference storage persists until you sign out, clear your browser data, or change your choices here. Analytics identifiers expire after up to two years.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in, so parts of Viro will not work.
